The HID DigitalPersona 4500 is a compact USB optical fingerprint reader designed for biometric authentication in desktop, shared-user and point-of-sale environments.

Its optical scanning technology provides high-quality fingerprint capture, while the silicone-coated scanning window helps accurately read a wide range of fingerprints, including dry, moist or rough fingerprints.

Simply place a finger on the reader and the device automatically captures and encrypts the fingerprint image for processing by compatible biometric software.
